What's the difference between Cat6 and Cat6a?
Cat6 is rated for 1 Gbps at any distance and 10 Gbps under 55 meters. Cat6a is rated 10 Gbps at full 100-meter distance and is future-proof for multi-Gig internet + Wi-Fi 7 backhaul. Cat6a costs about $50 more per drop but is worth it if you plan to upgrade internet or run PoE cameras.
How disruptive is the install?
For most runs we only need to make one small hole at each end (behind the wall plates). No drywall repair required in 90% of homes. If we hit a difficult obstacle, we'll pause and show you the options before cutting.
Do you provide the router or switch?
We can supply and configure a network switch, patch panel, and rack if you want a proper install, priced at cost + a modest install fee. Or bring your own gear and we'll install and test.
